Before we get into the nitty-gritty of the coffee adventures and my role in all that shenaniganery, maybe a word or two about me?
Hi, I’m Paweł Komarnicki. I’m a Digital Product builder by trade, which means: I make websites and apps. But I also love to cook and write about… things. Things like food, coffee, creativity, and fine living, just to give you an overall gist.
Being an engineer gives me a somewhat interesting perspective on coffee — it’s not only a never-ending opportunity to tinker, crunch numbers, chase the optimum. It’s also a way to break out of the usual nerd shell. Thinking about the beauty and unpredictability, embracing the failures, and learning a lot. Because I’ve learned. A. LOT. 💀
I have to admit, though, while I’m not a stranger to writing about cuisine, I’m pretty new to coffee. How new? Fresh enough to have a thick crema, I guess? 😅
In all seriousness, it’s the perfect opportunity for us to embark on that journey together because I am yearning for companionship and fellow coffee enthusiasts to join me. Coffee is best shared, so let’s start with that.
Coffees of the day
Just so you’re not left empty-handed by my welcome yada-yada, here is a snapshot of the coffees I’ve made today — it will be a recurring series in the Adventures with Coffee, where I will be writing about and dissecting my process, technique, and results:
Coffee 1: flat white — simple and warm, a great start to the day
Coffee 2: Chocolate milk cappuccino — light, delicate, delightful
Coffee 3: Triple-chocolate mocha — sweet and exciting
